Special Astrological and Spiritual Remedies for Yam Dwitiya

Sesame Lamp for Premature Death Prevention: On Yam Dwitiya, light a sesame oil lamp in the evening and place it facing south. After lighting the lamp, chant the mantra “Om Yamay Namah.” This remedy reduces Shani Dosh, Kaal Sarp Yoga, and death.

Chitragupta Worship: On Yam Dwitiya, write down the correctable points in your actions on a white paper and pray to Chitragupta to guide you in achieving balance in your actions. Worshipping Chitragupta on this day pleases Chitragupta. It is said that Chitragupta keeps a record of all a person’s deeds.  In such a situation, worshipping Chitragupta pleases Chitragupta and pacifies the consequences of karma, thereby pacifying this deity as well.

Chanting the seed mantra of Lord Yama: On the night of Yama Dwitiya, chant the mantra “Om Yamay Namah” 108 times and invoke the god Yama to guide you on the path of righteousness and distance you from the brother of karma. Chanting this mantra brings discipline and devotion to your life.

Water offering for ancestral peace: On this day, pour sesame seeds and flowers into a flowing stream and pray for the peace of ancestors. This remedy satisfies the ancestors and brings happiness and peace to the family.

Sesame and Jaggery Remedy: On Yama Dwitiya, donate sesame, jaggery, and black clothes to a needy person. This donation pleases both Yama and Shani Dev, thus removing ancestral curses and karmic obstacles.

Dharmaraj Deep Sadhana: On this day, light four lamps in four directions at night. Light a lamp of yellow oil in the east, sesame oil in the west, ghee in the north, and mustard oil in the south. Sit in the middle and chant the Beej Mantra. This will eliminate debt, distress, and untimely death.
