The following worship method can be adopted to celebrate the holy day of Amla Navami:

Morning: Wake up early and purify yourself by bathing. Purify your home and place of worship. Perform all tasks with devotion.

Tree Worship: After purifying yourself in the morning, clean the area around the Amla tree and decorate it. Offer Akshat, turmeric, kumkum, flowers, and a lamp to the Amla tree. Then, circumambulate the tree 11 or 21 times while chanting the mantra “Om Namah Bhagavate Vasudevaya.” Sit beneath the tree and chant the mantra “Om Hri Shreem Lakshmibhyo Namah.” Light a lamp beneath the tree and offer food.

Charity and Service: On this day, giving donations to the poor and Brahmins, providing food, and donating clothes are considered extremely fruitful.  Serving the needy on Amla Navami brings auspicious results.

Food and Worship: If possible, prepare food under the Amla tree. The food should be sattvic. Offer the food first to Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Then, eat with your family. Amla should be used in your food, such as Amla Murabba or Amla Chutney.

According to the legend, Goddess Lakshmi once set out on a journey across the earth and wanted to worship both Vishnu and Shiva.
